On August 15, 2008, I began the construction of a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) from an RV-12 kit manufactured by Van’s Aircraft. The kit begins as a near-infinite number of small pieces that I am supposed to now assemble into one big piece. The little pieces are very-much earthbound. Conversely, the big piece will slip the surly bonds of Earth and allow me, a passenger, and 50lbs of whatever to cruise along in the skies of the world.
